Writing an Article
If you’re reading this you’ve probably already signed up for an account on OS X 411, if you haven’t already create a quick account, you read more about creating an account here.
When you first create an account and login, you’ll be greeted by a page like the one below: This is the dashboard, or “splash” for OS X 411’sĀ back endĀ administration.
To write a new post, simply choose Write a New Post in the orange bar or choose Write from the navigation bar above it. Both of these are highlighted in the image below. When you start a new Post, or even when you edit an existing post you’ll see a page like the image below: Simply scroll down for more options like Tags and Categories, you don’t need to worry about most of this as an editor will fill the majority of this in. Clicking the Save button on the right side of the page will update your draft. When it comes time to submit your article for review simply use the Submit for Review button next to Save, should you need to un-submit your article use the drop down menu just above the Save and Submit for Review buttons.Should your article take more than one session to write you can come back to your post by clicking on Manage than Drafts just below the main navigation, these are highlighted in the image below: Once you’re at the Drafts review page your posts will have your name next to them in the Author column and the title of your post will be clickable, indicating you can edit the post.
Should you have any other questions about posting feel free to send an email to admin (at) osx411 (dot com), all inquires are welcomed.
